Welcome to National Pet Month 2023

Here's what to expect during National Pet Month 2023 and how you can join in this national celebration of pet ownership

It’s National Pet Month! A time for all UK pet owners to come together and celebrate the many benefits of pet ownership.

From now until May 1 we’ll be sharing advice and top tips from leading vet and pet professionals on every aspect of pet care, with live broadcasts, blogs and social posts aplenty!

We’ll also share your #petpawsitivity stories and pics, as you tell us what you most love about being a UK pet owner in 2023.

We’ll look at the many reasons why pets are good for our physical and mental health and focus on the five key welfare needs of our animal companions – Companionship, Behaviour, Diet, Health and Environment.

We’ll explore everything from pet friendly work spaces through to advice on tracking your pet’s emotional state and the importance of vaccinations and good dental health.

We’ll look more closely at why our pets make great companions in our home and work spaces, advise on how to help new arrivals settle in – whether they’re a youngster or an older pet - and explain why we need to say ‘no’ to table scraps - how a porkie pet can become a poorly one.

All this plus a guide to composting pet food, why we shouldn’t pooh, pooh proper disposal of pet waste, and fun exercise tips for our animal companions to help them enjoy happy and healthy lives.

We'll also provide money saving tips for pet owners on a budget.

Remember to follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and send us your pet stories.

Tag us and use the hashtags #NPM23 and #PetPawsitivity

Happy National Pet Month!
