National Pet Month – April 1-May 6, 2013 – is not only about promoting responsible pet ownership, it’s also about empowering others to help raise money for all our wonderful UK pet charities.

Do you have a favourite animal charity near you that you’d like to support? Perhaps you run a charity that could benefit from working with National Pet Month?

At a time when many charities are struggling to survive in this incredibly tough economic climate, National Pet Month offers a lifeline to those organisations looking to grow their funds and support network.

We want to help as many pet charities up and down the UK as we can so that they can continue their amazing work for many years to come.

So, how exactly can National Pet Month help?

From April 1 to May 6, 2013 we’ll be encouraging people to stage and attend all kinds of fun and educational events around the country and to register as an NPM supporter. It’s completely free and only takes a minute or two online to set up. You can do it here. http://www.nationalpetmonth.org.uk/portal/admin/create-account 

Once they’re registered they can go to our events map www.nationalpetmonth.org.uk/events/  and provide details of any fundraising events going on during the campaign time from April 1 to May 6.

If you run a charity and are staging fundraising events for your organisation during National Pet Month you can also register your events with us and so can your supporters. In other words you have a whole online audience to share your great work with and we’ll be happy to spread the word through our website and social media channels.

Our free, downloadable events pack will even give you handy tips on how to promote an event so that you can maximise your press coverage and we’ll happily share pictures and news from your events on our social media channels.
