Why dogs like Raven need forever loving homes

“Although I have often heard about rescue stories and the change in pets, I didn’t truly understand this ‘til we adopted Raven,” says Sam Small from Newcastle.

“We have seen such a change in her. She was underweight and unsocialised. Raven is a completely new dog and I would love her story to highlight the good in society by encouraging people to provide loving homes for all dogs.”

Sam, who discovered Raven at Paws For Thought in Newcastle http://pawzforthought.org/  three years ago, was also keen to see Raven’s story featured during National Pet Month to remind UK pet owners and potential pet owners that the decision to take on a pet should not be taken lightly.

“More thought is needed before people get a dog as so many end up needing to be rehomed so anything that will help you get the message out there during National Pet Month has got to be good,” says Sam

Raven, thought to be around four-years-old, has settled well into her forever home in the North East as you can see from this lovely pic when Sam’s canine companion was playing on a friend’s farm.
