NATIONAL PET MONTH LAUNCHES SEARCH FOR UK YOUNG AMBASSADORS

National Pet Month (April 1-May 10) is on the look-out for young UK pet fans to become Young Ambassadors for this year’s #NPMOnline campaign.

As we all take on the challenges of lockdown, we’re looking to recruit a tribe of youngsters across the country to celebrate life with their pets and help raise awareness and cash for UK pet charities and rescues.

The Coronavirus isn’t just affecting humans, it’s impacting our pets too, with pet care workers battling to carry on looking after the animals in their care.

So, if you’re aged under 16 and, with your parents’ permission, please show your support for our nation’s pets by declaring yourself an NPM Young Ambassador.

Then share your pet stories with us using the hashtag #NPMOnline. We’ll share as many of your comments as we can so get posting!

Get involved by choosing a UK pet charity (and that can include National Pet Month!) and come up with great ideas to raise funds for them online from the comfort of your own home. Remember even £5 raised can help a pet in need.

Here’s some ideas to get you started:

•        Hold a virtual pet party via Zoom where you can meet virtually with your friends, family and your pets for a donation towards your chosen charity.

•       Organise a Netflix pet movie marathon and ask people to sponsor you as you watch all your favourite pet/animal films via https://www.netflixparty.com/

•        Create images of your pets and send them to us online using our hashtag #NPMOnline

Stage your mini fundraiser and tell us all about it on our social channels, including how much you raised. Even a small amount can make a difference so don’t be shy, give it a try!
