How would you like to win some fabulous goodies for your pet?

Well, during National Pet Month there’s plenty of opportunity to do just that.

During our five week campaign we’ve got a whole host of fantastic prizes up for grabs on our social media channels, thanks to the generosity of some fabulous businesses.

Just keep an eye on our Facebook page www.fb.com/NationalPetMonth and our Twitter feed www.twitter.com/NatPetMonthUK to be in with a chance of winning one of these great competitions.

Make Your Pet A Movie Star

If you own a wonderful pet you want to show off to the world then grab your smartphone or video camera, film a short, fun video clip of your pet (2 minutes maximum) that reflects this year’s theme of companionship and simply post the clip on our Facebook page www.fb.com/NationalPetMonth, tweet @NatPetMonthUK with the hashtag #NPMStar or send us an email to info@nationalpetmonth.org.uk

The judges’ favourite entry will be asked to supply a digital picture of their pet so that it can be turned into a fabulous framed print to take pride of place in your home.

Just imagine, your pet companion captured in happy times forever. What’s not to love?

Not only that but we will feature your winning video in National Pet Month’s digital magazine published after this year’s campaign which will take pride of place on the NPM websitewww.nationalpetmonth.org.uk and be distributed to an audience of millions across social media.

Your video should be accompanied by text (no more than 140 characters) which explains why your pet is a great companion.

Entries need to be in by midnight on Monday, May 6. Judges’ decision is final. No cash substitute.

Just think, your pet could be talent spotted and be the next pet celeb like Lassie or Pudsey.

So what are you waiting for? Camera, lights action!

Facebook fun

During NPM’s five week campaign we’ll be talking about our competitions on Facebook so make sure you like our page at www.fb.com/NationalPetMonth and look out for details of how you can win a host of pet and human goodies.

Each of the five weeks of the campaign we’ll be using special graphics to highlight our fantastic prizes and all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to follow the instructions on the graphic.

We’ll then put the names of everyone who has entered into a draw and pull out a winner each week.

Prizes on offer include cat toys, delicious doggy treats, personalised pet jewellery, a bespoke dog coat made by a fashion designer and a goodie bag for humans from NPM supporter and keep fit queen Rosemary Conley.

How fantastic is that?

Just keep watching our Facebook page each week, look out for the special graphic and join in the fun!

Twitter Retweet Competition

We love connecting with fellow pet fans on Twitter and appreciate your support so, thanks to our friends at Wagg Foods, we have some fab prizes to win in our fantastic Twitter Retweet Competition.

We’ve got animal goodie boxes for gerbils, guinea pigs, bunnies, hamsters and mice, puppy food and treats and bags of Wagg worker dog food on offer throughout National Pet Month.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning these prizes for your pets is to follow @NatPetMonthUK and @WaggFoods on Twitter, look out for our special Wagg/NPM tweets appearing throughout National Pet Month and retweet them.

Once you’ve retweeted the tweet your name will go into a draw for our pet goodies.

The winner will be notified by direct message and the winners’ names will be posted on the National Pet Month website in due course.

How cool is that?

Kids Get Crafty Competition

Youngsters will have the chance to unleash their creativity for this year’s National Pet Month.

Our Kids Get Crafty Competition gives children the chance to design a poster for National Pet Month’s 2014 campaign.

To enter youngsters have to develop a poster based on our Top 10 Tips For Responsible Ownership (you can find them on our website www.nationalpetmonth.org.uk).

The winner will receive a visit from the National Pet Month team and local pet care expert for a talk and presentation ceremony.

Not only that, but they’ll see their creation turned into a poster for next year’s National Pet Month.

Deadline for entries is Friday, July 12.

For more information and full terms and conditions go to our website www.nationalpetmonth.org.uk
