Party Time for Pets

Our Twitter #NPMLaunch party got this year's National Pet Month campaign off to a flying start yesterday. Here's what happened.

What a fabulous time we had at the National Pet Month launch party on Twitter last night!

A big thank you to all of you who joined us to mark the launch of our five week campaign and help us celebrate our 25th anniversary in style.

Using the hashtag #NPMLaunch, party goers showed their support for National Pet Month by joining in the evening’s fun and laughter.

With  ‘cocktails’ such as our infamous Slippery Whippet flowing nicely from 7pm to 9pm, we tweeted about NPM’s key aims – helping UK pet charities raise money for their worthy causes and promoting responsible pet ownership.

During the evening we ran a fantastic #PetSong competition with a wonderful doggy hamper up for grabs, courtesy of Best Western Hotels GB.

The idea of the competition was to rename a famous song using references to pets. For example, instead of Super Trouper, the NPM team came up with the replacement title of Super Pooper and instead of More Than A Feeling we suggested More Than A Feline.

Our friends @BestWesternGB also got in on the act suggesting these brilliant titles too – The Harlem Snake and I’m a Retriever. Thanks to the team for joining in so brilliantly! J

Look out for our competition finalists and vote for your favourites!

More competitions and great prizes coming soon!
