Put on an event for National Pet Month!
National Pet Month gets bigger and bigger every year because thousands of dedicated individuals give up their time freely to organise fun events for families and pet lovers to enjoy. Why not join this band of pet lovers - and you can even raise some money for your favourite animal charity too!
Each event should have a clearly defined objective, in line with the objectives of National Pet Month, which are:
- To promote responsible pet ownership
- To communicate the value of pets for people and people for pets
- To raise awareness of the importance of animals health professionals and related services
- To increase public awareness of the role, value and contribution to society of working companion animals
STEP 1 - Get an Events Pack
Tell Us You’re Interested. Think you want to run an event? Order a free events pack, containing:
- A3 Poster - all about National Pet Month
- A2 Poster - Ten Top Tips
- A3 NPM - blank to publicise your event
- and plenty of event advice , including how to deal with the local press
- Want more material? - send back our form to order a big banner, more posters or request a collection box (we make a small charge to cover costs)
STEP 2 - Register Your Event
We want to hear what you’re doing! Put your event on our website to give it some publicity. It’s the first port of call for visitors and the local press.

Enter our post-event competition for the chance to win a great prize!
